Douglas Yeckley of Lusby, Maryland is the senior adult advisor to SSS 548.  Mr. Yeckley has many years of maritime experience, having retired from the Coast Guard Reserve as a Senior Chief Petty Officer.  He has dedicated much of his life to service to his community, serving as a  Coast Guardsman, as a Scout Leader, and as a policeman.  His first priority as Skipper of SSS 548 is the safety and health of its members, and their continuing growth and development into happy, self-confident, adventurous, and productive citizens through adherence to the ideals of Scouting.  He strives at all times to set the best example of morality and personal integrity for the youth in his care, yet retaining a sense of fun, adventure, friendliness, and approachability.
