Youth officers must have obtained the rank of Ordinary to be eligable for election by their Ship members. Terms are for one year. Ship members not elected into office are considered Crew Members.
Office positions are:
Boatswain, pronounced "bo-sun", petty officer in charge
Boatswain's Mate, 2nd in command, can be one or two positions
Yeoman, the Ship secretary
Purser - Ship's treasurer
Storekeeper - in charge of equipment and boats
Adult leadership includes:
Skipper - principal leader and advisor
Mate - assistants, must be 21 years of age
Parents of the youth and other interested community members may also become committee members or scout parents.
